The Fuji Newest is designed for fun, comfort and performance. Every model in the Newest group has some common features: a “compact” frame design with a sloping top tube, which puts the handlebars up higher to take weight off your hands and back for comfort; longer chainstays and curved seatstays, which smooth out bumps transmitted from the road up through the rear wheel; carbon fiber fork blades (on the Newest 1, 2 and 3) which has the same effect on the front wheel; clearance to fit 25cm and even wider tires for a more plush ride, unlike the 23cm tires on many current road bikes; triple chainrings and wide range cassettes, for good low hill-climbing gears. Despite all these comfort features, every Newest model is still a fine performer, with sprightly handling and a stiff aluminum frame that won’t waste your pedaling efforts.

The Newest 2.0 has several upgrades over the 3.0 model. These include a step up to 27 speeds from 24, a Shimano Tiagra rear derailleur, Shimano Sora brakes, Alex R-500 rims, and a lighter fork, for a total weight reduction of about 1 pound.
