The Giro Me2 is a great helmet for infants and children who ride in bicycle trailers and babyseats, or pedal tricycles and small bicycles. The Me2 is light enough that most young children can wear it comfortably by the time they’ve reached 12 to 18 months. It is a great way to get them started on a lifelong habit of always wearing a helmet while riding.

The Me2 has lots of comfort features. The chin strap closes with a pinch-proof buckle, and adjusts with cam-lock levers that only have to be set once than then don’t slip. The helmet has a built-in visor for sun protection. There are 6 vents for cooling, and the three front vents have a built in “bug net”.

All Giro helmets are CPSC certified, which means they pass the industry standard tests for safety.

The Me2 fits heads from 18.75” (48cm) around up to 20.5” (52cm). It is easily adjusted to fit using a “Mini Loc”, a ratcheting band that wraps around the back of the head.
