O2 Rainwear Basic rain pants

In short, the “breathable microporous fabric” used to make these pants is remarkably breathable, waterproof, windproof, very light weight, and rather delicate. These pants are not so great for bushwacking or mountain bike riding through dense underbrush, but just fine for all other cycling pursuits.

The pants are very simple. Elastic waist, no fly, no size zippers, no pockets. They aren’t meant to make a fashion statement, they are meant to keep you dry, and they do that very well. These are general purpose pants, not cycling specific. The one feature that cyclists will miss is that the pants legs are loose at the bottom, and there is no built in facility to keep them tucked out of the way of the bike’s cranks and chainrings. But for the low weight (around 5 oz.) and low price, you might be willing to overlook that flaw.
