Banjo Brothers Model 01060 handlebar bag

The Banjo Brothers 01060 handlebar bag is a simple, economical piece of gear, meant to carry small items such as snacks, maps, portable electronics, a vest or light jacket, right up front where you can easily reach them. This bag has one main compartment and three outside pockets, for a total capacity of 275 cubic inches.

The main compartment is accessed through a zipper across the top of the bag. Inside you’ll find a space approximately 9” x 4” x 8”. The main compartment contains a small, flat inner pocket that is made of clear plastic and closes with a zipper. This small pocket is a great place to put your keys or any small objects you don’t want to have to dig through the whole bag to find. Outside the main compartment are two small mesh pockets, one on each side of the bag. The front of the bag has a large flap that snaps in place and holds another flat pocket closed by a zipper. Unsnap this flap, fold it up and back across the top of the bag, and you’ll see the clear map pocket. The map pocket is approximately 7.5” x 4”, and closes with velcro. The main compartment is wrapped on three inner sides by an stiff plastic sheet to make it keep its shape.

The Banjo Brothers handlebar bag attaches to the bike using velcro straps and stout elastic cords. There are two webbing straps (closed with velcro) that wrap around your bike’s handlebar and hold the bag firmly up against the handlebar.
If your bike has a rigid fork with eyelets you connect two elastic straps hanging from the bottom of the bag to the fork eyelets, using metal hooks. If your bike has a suspension fork or no eyelets, you use an alternete strap system that wraps around the bike frame’s head tube near the fork crown. The bottom straps serve to hold the bag upright and cut down on swaying, and all necessary bits and pieces for both options are included with the bag.

This bag is made of coated cordura nylon, for durability and abrasion, puncture and water resistance. While the fabric is coated, the seams and zippers are not sealed, so the bag is not waterproof. For short exposures to light rain the contents will stay dry. For prolonged riding in rain or even short bursts of heavy rain, the contents will probably get wet. This bag has a rated weight capacity of 7 pounds.
