Service - The Katy Trail Special Tune Up

This one was spearheaded by our mechanic Dan who rides the Katy on the regular and knows the damage 'Katy dust' (mainly limestone) and gravel dust can do to a drivetrain and internals. 

The Katy Trail Special is great for those who ride the Katy or anyone who rides dusty trails or gravel of any kind with regularity.

We pay special attention to areas affected by dusty conditions and use lubricants that are specially formulated to deal with these conditions. 

This tune includes everything in our Signature Tune Up plus:

• Careful inspection of bearing assemblies with cleaning and lubing as needed
• Cables and housings are replaced at no additional charge
• Careful inspection of freehub bodies and freewheels with flushing and lubing as needed
• Shifters are overhauled or flushed and lubed
• Spokes are inspected for seizing and twisting and replaced as necessary
• A wax-based lube (hand picked by Dan for effectiveness!) is used for optimal use in dusty conditions
